And I love your car btw, 8.60s on a street car is definitely impressive and I am sure you know what I was talking about in my previous post.
Oh yeah I understand!!! Im sure Ill end up with more in my suspension than what I originally paid for the car!!! The radial tire will be more forgiving on my car I think. I just dont want it to hit the tires so hard off the line. And Ive got friends running the 8.5 Outlaw class around here and those cars are extremely nasty on them little 26x8.5 tires!! To much for me anyways!!

Mini tub in my future. Gotta love the look of a fat tire car (with decent clearance).

Radials also have a much steeper learning curve than slicks. Yes radials are more stable on the big end but are less forgiving in the setup. Just because the top guys are running that quick doesn't mean anyone can do it, just shows what is possible with an assload of capability and money. You can hit slicks much harder than radials and they will still work and slicks are more forgiving. Do a little reading on chassis differences between slicks and radials. You can buy the best suspension in the world but if it isn't set up right you aren't going anywhere. (BTW I prefer radials, just playing the advocate here)

If you don't believe me go slap 275s on 1500hp car and try to run 7s. Shit, the AWD Underground Gallardo's were only in the mid high 10s at tx2k11 (at 150+ mph ).
Slick also runs slower than a radial. The fact is most people want to run a slick because they don't want to invest the time into the learning curve, which yes, is very steep for a radial; but anyone can do it. That's why cars ranging from 13's to 7's run either a normal small slick or a big ass 10.5 when you can go faster with less. Radial racing is much more fun too. But when it comes down to 8 second cars it's pretty damn similar. Most 8 sec cars run a full coil over, ballast weight around the car, and everything else involved with having that fast of a car. At that point it can get pretty easy when you share the same parts. That is where time comes in.

gttt's and underground cars will never do anything impressive at the track. They don't put the power down soon enough to even post a decent mph. 160 is a joke for both cars to be quite honest. The lambos are awd so it will never happen and a 1500hp gt with a slick or radial of course will run slow with stock suspension.

I work at a suspension shop btw.

Is that still a stock stroke engine? I'm assuming the 9's will be with the nitrous, or are you shooting for N/A at that elevation?
