One more rough, and one more smooth, from what I remember from back in the day.
I think it's the other way around. Every chart I've seen has the AFR's flowing very well up top. Problem is, I've never seen a AFR flowed on a 4" or 4.030" bore. It's always on a 4.125" bore where valve shrouding isn't an issue.

Is this setup (tw170s, tf stage 2 cam & tf intake) safe for say a 100 shot on the stock bottom end? What would be a safe amount? Thanks...

Yep. They like to hide the fact that their inline head shrouds the valve on the stock bore engines. Lots of people mislead by that garbage. Still a good head, but not as great as they make it sound on a 4" or 4.030" bore.

100 shot would be fairly safe, with a good tune.

So with my setup, would a TW185 be too big? I eventually wanna stroke it to a 347 and would rather buy once if possible.

Thanks...

You'll need the right cam if you're still 302 cubes. Too much intake duration and it will be lazy. You need something with decent lift and shorter duration on the intake to keep cylinder pressure up when using larger heads like that on a smaller cube engine. The OEM's have been doing it for a while now, so you don't need to worry about having too much head for your 302 as long as the valve events are correct. I would talk to a cam grinder about a cam if you run those heads on your engine. Done right, it'll scream. Wrong cam and it can be unimpressive.

My combo is 306, tw 185's track intake, stage 2 cam and flat top pistons. Great heads for the 347 future stroker that I WAS going to do before I decided to go 351/408. Going to send mine out in the future.

So I'm kind of confused here...

Trick Flow Specialties TFS-51400015 - Trick Flow® Twisted Wedge® Track Heat® 190 Cylinder Heads for Small Block Ford - Overview - SummitRacing.com
with
Trick Flow Specialties TFS-51402001 - Trick Flow® Track Max® Hydraulic Roller Camshafts for Ford 5.0L - Overview - SummitRacing.com

Would be ok or no? I'm going to Summit Tuesday morning and don't wanna fuck up.

I also have a 100 shot nitrous kit I want to use eventually.

Are the 190's too big? Should I go with the 170s? The price difference between the 170's and the 190's is like $150 whereas he 185's are like $500 more than the 170's.

Thanks...

I don't think that cam is right for the larger heads (FAC190s, or the TW185s). IMO, you'd be best to run the big heads, and a custom cam. If you're set of the TFS cam, run the 170s, but the really limits your room to grow in the future.

That's what I have, not saying that it's what you should use... just to keep it straight. The car isn't tuned yet, and I barely had it going last year before the snow flew, but I was happy with the results. I am only using the cam because it isn't/wasn't my final combo, so I wanted to use something that I knew would work. Power left on table, sure, but I didn't want to go custom because I was going to be changing so much up on the car. I also wouldn't use a track heat intake if my nitrous plate wasn't already for the street/track intakes. But I'm to cheap to buy a new plate and intake for this motor.
