injector issues
Ok so I got a new 5.0 HO for my 91 LX. YAY.. except the number 1 injector is stuck WIDE open. I tried a few of the injectors off the old motor, all of them are crap.
So this brings me to the issue. The cheapest I found one injector is $72.00 . This has me thinking of upgrading the injectors to 21 or 24 LBS/HR. What Mods do I need to support these two sizes????? Any help is appreciated. What would be better for performance, I dont care about MPG. But I also dont have any way to tune it (other than time adjustment). What I do have (mods) BBK pulleys Flow master 40's K&N filter. |

I do know that 8 injectors is about $300, which I feel better about than on for $72 (if a performance gain can be made).

Well I wanted to move up from 19 LBS, if I can. I may be interested depending on if anyone else has ideas or not.
By the way nice vert, mine is a red vert also. |

Ya to tell you the truth my old 19lb have a few missing O-rings and the pentacle caps on a few are cracked, but they can be replaced from what i understand, but they worked great when i removed them.....But really i see them on ebay (used) going dirt cheap, if you cant find them cheap, then ill give you mine and you can swap over all the stuff you need from your old injectors(like O rings and the caps).....But you will have to pay shipping, before ill ship them..... if i were you, i would try and find them locally first

![]() I can send them your way, I just ask a little money for my time is all and to cover shipping. I would try ebay first, see whats on there. you will gain nothing from upgrading to 24lb injectors, unless your old injectors where so bad they where making the car run rich. which Is highly unlikely. If I could start over again, and I wish I could, I would have just put a turbo on the car, and I would be going faster then I am now for a 1/4 of what I have in the car now. ya if you change your intake and exhaust, your 19lb injectors are fine , its usually when you change your cylinder heads that the engine will benefit from larger injectors

dont go on ebay and just pick up any old set of heads, you'll regret it in the end...
