Finding rear gear ratio?
I've used a couple different gear ratio calculators, trying to find my rear gear. With the T-5 and 275/40/17's I turn 2400 RPM at 70 MPH.
Gear Calculator I put 26", 4.11 gear ratio, 2400 RPM at 70 MPH with the 3rd gen Camaro T-5 (to my knowledge, same transmission) into this calculator. That's about accurate of a calculator I'm going to find I think. Am I correct on this? One big rant I have about buying a built car is having to figure out what all has been done. The PO had it all written down w/receipts and everything but lost it in a move. Still have no idea what pistons, compression, cam, or any of that happy stuff is and really have no idea of finding out. Doesn't take away from me enjoying what I've already got though

jack the back end of the car up and spin the tire. However many rotations the driveshaft turns for one tire revolution is your gear ratio. If it spins just over 4 times it's 4.10's if it's 3-3/4 its 3.73's ect..

I can see how this may make that method a little tough.

Last time I used my mind powers to travel, they didn't work. So I'll just have to bug someone on here for an answer.

I just mis-judged your post. I only take 1/10 of your posts serious. Just missed by a few I guess.
