No, but recently a lot of people have been going a to a on the intercoolers with the kb. No kits though.

This the air to air set up i was going to run with the KB. I checked out the write up he did and i wouldn't be that bad the hardest part is cuttin the manifold.

Ah, ok, thanks guys! That sounds like a hassle to do but whatever works, lol. Just didn't think outside the box far enough, I was thinking aftercooler and air to water. So it's simpler to just go with an intercooled kit right off the bat then.

Well after some thought, guess if you were daring enough, you could modify the impeller housing on the vortech and clock it out the bottom too I guess? So an intercooler kit could be made.

I think a to a on a kb is too far out of the box lol. Would me much simpler for a vortech car in my opinion. The vortech car will most likely net more power as well. The usually do.

I think that most of the centri SC's would make more power for sure. I just don't think it would same kind of power tho. I have never been in a KB car so i have no idea what they are like.

Long story short and you can argue this both ways...

In general....
Average HP is what gets you from point A to point B. Peak HP means very little unless you have a CVT.
Hypothetical numbers here. A KB can produce an equal or even higher average HP/torque from 1000 to rev limiter. A centrifugal may be lower average from 1000-3500 but higher average from 3500-rev limiter. For an all out go run, very little if any of your time is below 3500. That is the difference. Streetable, cruising around torque, the butt in seat dyno, Neck snap etc..those are your own feelings and opinions on where you want to FEEL the power. Regardless of the kick or the initial acceleration, the combination with the highest average power between shift points is the one that will get to the end faster every time. This concept applies to any combination of parts with or without boost.

I def see what ya mean NOLIFE. The KB would come on a lil faster and harder but it wouldn't pull as hard in the high rpm's. If ya are out playin with it then you are gonna be in the higher rpm so the centrif. would be just as much if not more. I am sure that the Procharger would def make more power.

Thats what hes saying. Some people just like the fel of the instant torque with a KB though when you punch it.

Excellent point!

No life is dead on with what he said. The kb makes for good driving. I was driving my old mans eaton cobra. It's like driving a semi, as soon as you are in one gear, just shift to the next. The tq is rediculous off idle. Same for a kb fox. A vortech fox can make plenty of low end tq though. But the arguement of a kbs 2000rpm 300ftlbs... I mean who cares? No one races from a roll or from a light from 2000rpms.

My v2, fcam, pheads, cobra intake, pullied for 14psi made 430tq at 3000rpms. That thing moved down low.

I just looked at my dads dyno sheet as we speak. Stock tb to oil pan. V2 strim 7psi: bbk off road h, and weld in flows....

297hp, but 351ftlbs. Funny thing is when the pull starts off idle or rolling idle if you will, is at 275 at the wheel. It's at 300 either a little before or after 3000... dyno sheet is cut on the bottom and missing rpm. But thats plenty.
