So I may have to replace my distributor... anyone have thoughts on what would I look for that would provide the highest ceiling for mods? Should I be looking for one computer controlled (can I? Do I actually NEED to?) I'm currently using the stock distibutor in a race engine and there may be a problem with the disto itself so I'm checking into my options so I only have to upgrade once. (Possible power adder upgrades are in my future) bling distros welcome since this is also a show car, currently looking at a few msd units.

Thanks

"race engine"?
"possible power adder upgrades in the future"?
"show car"?

So, is it a race car with no power adders or a show car with a stock race engine in it?

Stock for the win. I know msd dists are just shiny stock ones. They use the same electronics inside them.

Motorcraft or standard motor products. I wouldn't go with anything else. They almost always have problems. The housings are nice on aftermarket ones but that's about it. Tfi modules fail most of the time on aftermarket ones.
