cam and intake
so I'm looking at gt40 intake and an e303 cam. What's everyones opinion? Heres my specs. 90 5.0 153k miles. Cold air intake, underdrive pulleys, 75mm throttle body and aftermarket headers. I'll eventually get gt40 heads but is this a safe cam for the intake and mostly stock engine?

For the money you'll spend on the lettered cam you could probably get a set of GT40 heads, unless your referring to the aluminum gt40's. I would think they would get you more power than that E cam anyhow.
Why do you want the e cam? Have you considered the TFS stage 1 cam? Seems like it would be a better cam but its up to you. |

I would put anything other than a letter cam in it.

I put the same exact combo in my 91 and I was happy with it but it left me wanting for more, my advise is to not use the e cam and get a tfs1 cam, they are the same price and the tfs1 cam will out perform the e cam now and in the long run.
Get everything used check around in the classifieds at corral.net you can have that whole combo for about 500-600$ |

gt40 stock heads not aluminum I can find cheap. Gt40 intake to match is easy to find. And the e303 I've heard alot of people using and happy with it. I jus thought it sounded like an awesome setup. Should I ugrade injectors?

Had E303 once... I wouldn't unless you live in CA or something. Even then, I still wouldn't. Injectors upgrade on gt40's isn't necessary unless they are seriously hogged out and you are turning some serious R's which you prolly wouldn't be.

Seriously man, letter cams suck. The TFS1 cam is a much better cam.

Replace the heads first then deal with the cam and intake, the cam is the last thing that needs to be replaced, unless you are just doing it for the sound which is
Just pull a plug wire or 2 and you will get your rough idle and save yourself the money and work... ![]() Añd also like mentioned by the others, don"t run an alpahabet cam, it is old outdated technology, the tfs will be a lot better and homie has one he will sell for 130 bucks shipped, thats a deal.... Will you ship it to me for that price? I don"t need it but for 130 to my door I will buy it to resell...haha
