TKO Problems

I'm getting some grinding going into 4th gear. I think it might be the blocker ring. Transmission is relatively low miles. To say I'm a little disappointed with Tremec would be an understatement. My mechanic is pretty good, but I don't know whether to let him have a go at it, or let some one who does it all the time do it.Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've been driving manual transmissions for 40 yrs. so I don.t think that would be the problem. Besides, I haven't really been that hard on it... no offense taken... Who is Bob Hanlon?
