Tranny recommendations?

What manual tranny would ya'll recommend for a 550+hp fox body? Would a g force t5 hold up well? What would be the best rpm to launch on slicks/drag radials?

tko 600, or a good g-force t5 not the "rebuilt but good to 400 ft.lb." one.

G-Force recently released a complete line of upgrades for the popular Tremec T-5 and T56 trannys. Not only are the parts stronger, there is a variety of gear ratios to chose from and a new transmission case for the T-5. Amazingly, G-Force's top of the line T-5 is rated up to 600 hp, while the T56 is rated to withstand 900 stomping ponies. G-Force actually offers three versions of the T-5 and there are three gear ratio sets.

And the World Class Z t-5 is rated to 450 hp.

I've been thinking about going w/ the g-force t-5 but wasn't sure it would stand up to weekend normal driving and occasional drag passes.
