81 Mustang Interior overhaul

Well ive been working on my 81 a bunch over the last little while and the interior is getting close to being finished. The interior was nearly completely swapped over from a 91LX except for the dash. Right now im in the process of getting the guage cluster laser cut and annodized so no guages in it right now but below is a before/after pic of how the interior has turned out. It needs some cleaning and a good vacuum but otherwise its nearing completion. Then off to do front and rear suspension, and drop the motor and trans in. Dont mind the battery thats in there right now, just using it to test things since i havent had a chance to mount the batt box in the back yet.

hows the fit around the quarter windows ? since the windows are different, i heard that there's a gap or you have to trim (cant remember which) the 87-93 quarter panel if your using the 86 and under windows

Ya you need to trim the interior panels to fit. Right now its noticeable from outside the car looking in the windows. Right now everything is just losely screwed into place, the plan is to go get the back 3 windows tinted so you wont really notice the gap from the outside, and its pretty good on the inside.

Looks good. Any plans on replacing the steering wheel and stock shifter? They kinda look out of date.

Steering wheel is staying, shifter is now out. Im going to a 5spd so its gonna have a short throw with a hurst arm since they make a nice piece that replaces the arm, and has the console piece so it looks good. Ill have to take some new pics since ive roughed in a few more things up front.
