need help!!!! ignition ?


have a 89 5.0 lx. i put my key in the ignition to start it and it wouldnt turn over and the key had gotten stuck so i ripped the key out and then it wouldnt go back in so i had somebody drill out my ignition. but the car wouldnt start even after that. said it something in the column.? if anyone knows anything please let me know asap. thanks

try replacing the ignition switch any ways

shouldnt a screwdriver be able to start the car if i remove the ignition tho? it wont even turn

im not stealing cars i just want to have a ignition switch back instead of having to disconect my battery everytime and have to pop the clutch to start it. i just wanna know if its in the colomn that the problem is or what?

Just buy a new ignition switch or hot wire it.

buy a new ignition switch , it will keep your car from being stolen.
Here in Houston , you get stopped & the leo sees a busted ignition switch , he will ask you some serious questions on ownership of your car.

i keep documentation on that so im good its just the new ignition will turn once i put it in. its like it locks itself up

make sure the pin on the column and the hole in the switch are alighned.
