Question

86 gt what rims??

Currently I've got the welds with et streets and skinnies up front, I want to get some new 4 lug rims with street tires and save my other rims and tires for the strip, what size rims can I go without changing things and what size tires, also I'm wanting some black rims, it would be nice to buy a rim and tire package, what rims look good that won't break the bank? Any good websites that offer rims and tire packages? Thanks

Yes they will, just stick with a 8 inch wide front wheel with a 235 tire on it. Anything more, and you'll rub.

Generally a 9 inch (or a 10 inch with 6.5 backspace) wheel is about as big as you can do without the wheel sticking out stupid. Tire would be a 275. If you find a staggered set (8's and 9's) you can do a 235/45 up front and a 275/40 out back. You'll need to upgrade your control arms to one's with poly pushings though to be able to remove the quad (horizontal from the axle) shocks to give you the room.

So 17x8 up front with a 235/45 tire and for the rear all of that quad junk is removed so I would be looking at 17x9 with a 275/40 tire and I'll be good to go? Currently the rear mt are a 255 with some room to grow.

Yessir. Ebay used to have staggered sets of R's for 4 lug a long time ago. That's about as cheap as you're going to get, as far as rim choices since it's the most copied. Not sure if they are still on there or not. I assume you are still 4 lug, maybe you're 5 (or 3 like Hatch, lol)

Confused... What's your question? Does anyone else but OE Wheels sell them? Is that what you're asking?

Buck 25 is about as cheap as you are going to find them. Even if you went non staggered you'd have 400 into them plus shipping. Street tire is a matter of personal preference. I like nitto's, but they are kinda chirpy.
