Engine grinding noise help?


when i revv my 87 5.0 H.0 i get a grinding noise(fast and higher pitched)coming from/around the smog pump at about 4500rpms.When the motor is returning to idle after revving it shakes at about 2500 rpms.Any ideas?

Default

Remove the belt and see if it still does it.
