UDP question

hey guys

so i put on a udp on my car and my alternator charge came up somewhat short. so i swap back the pulley for the alternator with the old one. the charge is only ok when there are no accessories are on but when the headlights are on, it tend to drop. i don't think there's anything wrong with the alternator because it charges ok at idle. i dont think if i get a bosche alternator (75amp) would correct it- would this mean i have to buy one of those high performance alternator that puts out 120amps? it's pretty costly, though. i heard a taurus alternator might work. thanks for the input guys

You need to run the underdrive pulley that is in the kit. The smaller the pulley, the quicker is spins the alternator. You shoulda just bought those pulley's from me a while back that you were inquiring about. Did you buy the March Power and Amp kit? If so, the headlights for that kit dim just a tad at idle, but not enough to mess with it.

Bigger alternator or slightly smaller alternator pulley (not sure where you'd aquire this except off another alternator with the same type shaft, and keep in mind if you go too small, you may take the alternator over it's max rpm) or sell it off and get the march power and amp series of pulleys.
