HELP!!!! 302 Crankshaft Question?

I am trying to get a crankshaft that originally came from an automatic to work with a 5-speed. I know I need to install a pilot bushing, but is there anything I need to do to get the bushing to fit? I've heard that some engines use a sleeve in the crank to fit the torque converter.
