no trans filter on 5-speeds? (newbie question)

Discussing no trans filter on 5-speeds? (newbie question) in the 5.0 Mustangs Forum. so my 89 gt 5-speed doesn't have a trans filter only the aod'...

YNOT Regular 1989 GT Hatch Join Date: Mar 2007 Posts: 227	no trans filter on 5-speeds? (newbie question) so my 89 gt 5-speed doesn't have a trans filter only the aod's do? so just drain it and fill it back up? what fluid should i run?

yea, drain ti and fill it. I fill through the shifter, otherwise youll need pump to fill it.

The non world class 83 and 84 use 70 weight gear oil. __________________ 9000 hp, 170 knots, 9 aluminum drive shafts, 3 piston disk brakes, can carry 9 camaros to the junkyard at the same time.
