T5 Question

I have a 13-52-169 WC T5.

Is there a rebuild kit for it to handle 300lbs+ of torque? Right now it is only rated at 265 lbs I think.

Thanks!

I think its rated at 300ft lbs already. But here you go Ford Racing M-7000-A Ford Racing Super Duty 5-Speed T5 Transmission Google is your friend. That one is rated at 330ft lbs. Your better off getting something better like a tko or 3550 or gforce rebuild kit.

That trans is out of a 86-89 5.0 and is rated at 265 ft. lbs of torque. The 90-93 T5 was rated at 300 ft lbs. Honestly that trans should be fine. Ifnot it can be upgraded with a T5Z gear set from Astro Performance. This will up the trans rating to 450hp/330 torque. I've did this gear swap before, fairly simple.

yes the gforce synchro kit also has a nice OD gear of .59. so you can still run a deep rear gear and have some drive-ability on the freeway.
This is their synchro kit.
