I think most people shoot for 89-93 and 99-and up. It might just be me but I really didnt start liking them untill 99. the turning was tighter and it recived more hp.

just curious???????

I think the 5.0 is way stronger than the 4.6. I had a 98 gt and was thinking of building it up but performance parts cost a small fortune for those things so i sold it and bought a 87 gt . keep the 5.0 but thats just my thoughts.

I say its a matter of personal preference. The major difference in the 99 and the 96 4.6 engine is the heads and intake. Thats an easy fix, but that body style never caught my eye. I'm a fox or new edge kinda guy.
