what would it take to get to 375hp?

Im looking at parting off my current setp. I have found a nice 89 gt convertible. I really like the car, it is in great shape, 116k miles, and a complete virgin. I like the car overall alot better than mine, but i dont think I would be satisfied with the stock hp. I would like to make it a DD, so I was thinking the best option would be to super charge. If I did super charge other than bigger injectors and larger fuel pump, what else is needed? how much boost would be safe on the stock motor, and what would be a good hp estimate for it?

280 to 300 at the wheels depending on your exhaust and throttle body. Through a 5 speed that is.

You'll need a MAF to match those injectors. Boost will likely be your easiest way but how much it takes to attain your goals I'll leave to someone who really gets into FI. I prefer N/A myself so I don't know how much boost equates to a certain HP gain.

that would be a good pickup over stock. Before I did boost i would most likely do gt-40 heads, and intake first. It will be 5 spd with 373 gears. As soon as I get it i will be upgrading to long tubes and better exaughst.

right now the car is an auto, I have all parts to switch over to 5-speed, would I need t ochang anything on wiring also? I dont care if I have the clutch sensor or not.

Another question, Turbo or supercharge? what are the pros and cons of each?

If you went with gt40 irons, an explorer intake, and a big tb with a turbo on 10 or 11psi you could easily make 430 or so. Prob around 380 with the same set up through an strim on 10psi if you do that 5 speed swap along with the exhaust stuff.

That sounds like exactly what I am wanting! With this, I would need what size injectors? a 255 fp be sufficient? what type of tuning would be needed. Would stock CPU owrk with tuning, or would something like quarter horse be better? I am completely ignorant on tuning, so the more info the better.
