Need more info on the engine first.
If you're buying injectors then you won't need the FMU. Those are just band-aids for not having the correct sized injectors. You'll also need either a MAF calibrated to the size injectors you get, or a tune. The tune is the better way to go. |

You'll probably need a bigger fuel pump or a pusher pump.

Like Fogged said, need to know more about mods already done.
I put a vortech V3 on last year (roughly 5psi). I ditched the FMU, bought 30# injectors and matching 80mm MAF, 255lph intank pump, wideband air/fuel gauge, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and O/R h-pipe. Even though you should, I didn't get a tune yet. I have the pressure higher on the injectors to get the air/fuel to a safe level (11-12 rich) until I do. Wish I had 42#, but got a killer deal on the MAF/30#/adj fpr that I couldn't pass up. I'll be upgrading to 42's once I get a larger crank pulley (maybe next year). With 8psi, I would definitely recommend you get 42# injectors. Just my opinion. You'll love the blower. Makes a HUGE difference. |
