Fox body GT vs. Notch weight?
First off I am wondering what a stock '92 GT would weigh? What is the weight comparison to a notch. I am being told the GT hatch adds 300lbs and I can't imagine it is that much. Thanks.

all the foxbodys are stock weigh in the ballpark of 3000 to 3400 the lightest are the early foxbody (notchback) with the 4 piece headlights. the heaviest being the late model foxbodys gt convertiable. and leather seats power everything and those cool looking ground effects its pretty easy to get 200lbs. the first time I read the post I thought you said 3000lbs.

Thank's! I have'nt had the opportunity to weigh my GT. I am getting that itch to build a all out drag fox body, and I am trying to figure out if a notch is the way to go. Not sure if the weight should be the deciding factor. The other issue is that they are harder to find!

Bout a hundred lbs. diff. The GT is about 50 lbs. heavier than the lx hatch, and the lx hatch is about 50 lbs. heavier, if that, than the notch.

The Notch is the best built of the 5 liters. Lightest and the strongest.
