>>>>>>>Alarm System<<<<<

I have a 94 GT, it came with a stock alarm system that says (Ford Security System). the keychain control has 2 buttons "arm" n "disarm" it also has the words "Code/Alarm" on it. also, FCC: GOH-MM6-101890 DOC: 1409 K791

I dont know what all this shit means, but the alarm system seems to "arm" itself when i exit the vehicle. it also goes off all the time, even when nothing is around. I adjusted the sensitivity settings and it dont make a difference. I called code alarm and they need a model number? but i dont have one.

Anyone have this piece of shit alarm system? maybe its not a piece of shit, but my system is.

not really a strait foward kinda question but i was just wondering what you guys think about this or your expierences

check your pin switches(hood, trunk, doors) for a loose connection. It might be triggering the alarm.

Those alarms are garbage, they are aftermarket by code alarm as you already know. If you want to actually fix it you have to do process of elimination. First disconnect the shock sensor and arm it, see if it goes off. If it does then proceed to what gicantor2 said, do your dome lights work and if so do they come on with the doors closed. Other than that it may have a current sensing feature that may have been turned on or its just a bad brain. In all honesty those are such poor units that I always just replace them with something current.

If you need the model number, check the alarm brain, usually under the dash somewhere it will be a black box and have the blue oval on it.
