Spring isolators needed?
the spring isolators on the rear are gone, i do believe the ones on the front are still there, my questions is, do i need the ones on the back and if not will it make my drop look the same in the front and back. As of right now i cant really tell the front is any lower than the rear. If i put the isolators back in or get poly ones will it give my car that more defined "nose dive stance" or am i wasting my time, also i just installed a friends springs and both had to be installed just right, the bottom of the coil had to be facing the rear of the car or it would be off, how can i tell if they were put in correctly? they were in the car when i bought it. I have the eibach pro kit on my 1995 mustang
thanks guys

isolators are not needed, any isolator will add hieght and removing it will lower it, poly isolators add the most hieght

Like he said they aren't needed when I put In my springs I took out my fronts but left my bottom rear one, it looked kind of sketchy to me so I felt better leaving it on

ok so you left ur front ones in and took out ur rear ones? i have my front ones in and the rears got all chewed up and are gone now, the problem is my ride height looks the same from the front to the rear, if i put the rear isolators back in would that bring it back up a little in the rear so that the front has a bit more dip to it? and idk if i can just go to the parts store and order two of the lower poly isolators

I took all of them out but my bottom rear ones.... When u look at the arm extended and spring out where the spring sits looks a bit sketchy so I left on the bottom rear isolater

yeah i might put some new rears in it because i dont like the way the ride height looks the same from front to back, so some poly isolators will raise the rear back up a tiny bit, ?

I also have another question..as far as spring placement goes. Where do I have to have them placed ?? I have read that the bottom end of the spring has to be placed facing the drivers side, anybody know of any online instructions for the eibach pro kit? Mine seem to be in the same spot on both sides but the end of the spring definitely isn't at the back of the control arm like I have read on some others

Its hard to explain the fronts are easy put the bottom In Turn it until the bottom of the spring catches and the install it how you normally would and the backs the part that stick out the most goes outthe back.....
Does that make sence?? |

ok do you think this will make a noticeable difference worth messing with, or should i let it be the way it is? i didnt really think having the rear springs in a certain spot could make that big of a difference but according to another installation guide i read they have to be placed just right

well got both sides done and the car looks A LOT better, i have one last question, i noticed it still has the stock pinion snubber on top, would i benefit from getting the aftermarket poly one or should i just leave it alone?

Good job doing it yourself btw..... Poly is always the way to go but if the stock one looks fine then wait till you have to change it and go with the good stuff

Thanks man..it wasn't bad the worst part was getting the control arm to line back up enough to get the bolt back through..lol, but I asked about the snubber because I didn't know if u needed the aftermarket shorter one for clearance issues, I know most kits include it in the kit when u buy it but whoever put the springs on my car must have left It out..just wanted to make sure the car isn't gonna hit a big bump and bottom out or anything.thanks for all the help
