Got my first 5.0!

So I'm coming over to this side from sn95. I am selling my 2000 Gt for an 87 5.0. I know It's a totally different world. Can you guys tell me what the differences between the 87-93s are? What am I in for? Thanks

the fox bodys are amazing take a beating and keep going there are a lot of little things that you have to do before you go crazy weld tortion boxed sub frame conectors sway bars and what not but do your research and do a lot of reading

the best part about the foxes are there a a hundred people that know the answer for any question you have not like a lot of the imports and new mustangs they have been around for a while its a nice place lol

87 and 88 are speed density and will not like a cam at all... although Speed density can be a better way to tune a car, the ford Speed density does not like it at all... you can swap to MAF aswell, but if your not going to swap a whole lot then youll be fine.

Chassis stiffening and suspension are where I would personally start, and then brakes after that. Then you can start adding power.

They put MAF on the cars starting in 89 and began putting an air bags in the steering wheel in 90, I believe.

foxes are lighter, more unique, sound better, better engine IMO
cheaper aftermarket mods, can do anything to a fox ie drag to road racing to show...

what else...more room under the hood,
