questions with an automatic

hi to all. my big ordeal is i have an AOD tranny and as anyone knows shifting points are so great in them. i found the shift kit i wanted but my question is if i also put in a higher stall torque converter is it going to throw my shifting points way way up? the converter that is in it now is still good its just if im going through all the trouble with the kit should i also put tine convereter in or no? thanks in advance.

Well putting a shift kit in doesnt involve dropping the tranny, but putting a converter in does.

I would take the extra time and put a converter in. What are your plans for the car? how much strip time? If you step up to a 2200-2800 stall on a daily driver you will be pleased...If you go to the track more, go with a 3000+ stall.

well you will definitely need a shift kit..It helps save your transmission with the extra HP that you will have...As far as a converter, well since you dont want anything too radical just get a low stall 2200-2800 stall.
