What do i do next??
Hello everyone.... I'm new to the site, not new to mustangs, and have heard alot about this site. So i'm about one month into my third mustang. Its a 94 Cobra. When i bought the car it had nothing but o/r H with some flowmasters, and everything front to back maximum motorsports suspension and lowered. Since i have put on; bbk 75 mm throttle body, bbk CAI, bbk underdrive pulleys, MSD cap, coil, wires, the obvious Pro5.0 short throw, and 3.73 gears...
My next thoughts where SCT tuner with bama tunes, 24 lb. injectors w/ supporting MAF... Other than forced induction is there really much more bolt on performance i can really do? and what about aluminum radiators (whats the significance of that)? Am i at the point of motor tear down and start internally building it? I'm just looking to hear some different opinions that way i have some options. Much appreciation. Steven Hess |

You can always do 5 lug conversion and get rear disc brakes.
That's on my to-do list lol =] |

Cobra will already have 24lb injectors. Tune should help, although I don't know how the SN cobra tunes were, SN-95 5.0's had a poor stock tune to begin with.. If you want more power than that it's either time to start digging into the engine or get forced induction like already mentioned. If you plan on doing that, then save your money on a tune until after though.

so tune after forced induction and motor build?
Well it seems like all my feedback is saying forced induction and motor building... can someone give me a list of forged internals i can buy for my motor and for a good price? (lifters, valves, rings, possibly pistons, bore .30 over maybe?, and what about the B303? Is that a bad idea for a street car? I am thinking ProCharger... My step sister works for them so i may be able to get my fingers into a little discount. |

I am getting ready to do a Kenne Bell for my 95 GT now. Procharger was my second choice for sure tho. Just do a set of good heads, cam, and good intake then put a low boost with a Procharger. I think that would make a good set up. Unless you want to just to do a complete new motor then put Procharger on it. That would probly put ya right about as far as ya would want to push the stock short block.

No it wouldn't be a better alternative to what you have. The only downside to the SN computers is their stock tune. The computer itself is better than an A9L. How much power are you trying to make? Have an ET goal? Some goals would make it easier to suggest what route would make the most sense. Stay away from letter cams like the b cam. Waste of money.

i am looking to make it to mid to low 12's. My motor isn't necessarily the healthiest thats why i wanna tear into it before forced induction. Are my heads worth keeping and reworking???

You can get mid-low 12's with a better top end and no S/C. You can also get them with your current set-up and a S/C. If the motor isn't in good shape and you're going to rebuild it anyway, I would suggest a 347 and a decent top end. Should be enough to get you into the 11's if you do it right and 12's not even trying. If you do a 347, your heads won't be enough, even ported, to support the cubes.

I am not even going to read the post that lead up to mine, Keep it stock!!! and since you have all that other stuff dont to it then keep the OEM shit so you can revert back to it.. I hate seeing 93-95 cobras get torn down and modded.. for what its worth get a dam GT and do that... I would give anything for a 100% stock 5.0 cobra.. I would make usre she had a good home, I have a GT for track..
If you must do anything to the car and wanna swap out head go TFS 51400004's with a good cam and intake mani.. You really don't need a tune at all... wasted money.. I didnt get a tune for my GT until after my H/C/I swap.. and even then it wasn't that bad and thats with a TFS Stage II cam... Ofcourse the easy way to go is boost.. takes less brains...

well i KINDA agree with you about not tearing into a 94 cobra but i bought mine with a salvage title and it already has been tinkered on so i'm just gonna make it mine own now. I woud have bought a GT and done that but NO JOKE my cobra was the cheapest mustang in descent running order i could find around my area...
Ok guys/gals, I'm not necessarily set on but i'm thinking about the 347 stroker kit, heads, and intake... Where is the cheapest place to get these things? and what heads and intake should i get for the stoker?
