I'm picking up 4.10 gears today need advice please!!!
He said hes selling the rear end and gears but how do I check if they are 4.10's or not? Please help quick I'm about to leave for work!

Put a mark on one of the studs and a mark on the driveshaft(I'm assuming it is still in the car). With the car in neutral spin the axle one rotation and count how many times the drive shaft spins. The drive shaft will spin a little over four turns with one rotation of the axle.

count the teeth on the gears and do math. should also be stamped in the end of the pinion gear if im not mistaken.

take the cover off for inspection.
rotate.. it will be stamped on the ring gear. |
