Cam question

What I have is a stock shortblock, 88 gt, I bought some tf 170 heads, some fms 1.72rr, and a tfs stage 1 cam. Some people are telling me that the stage 1 cam will not work with speed density. Now my question is will i be better off with the stock cam and 1.72rr or the stage 1 and 1.72 roller rockers.

you can do a maf conversion pretty easily...

with the SD sensor you are limited to changning the upper and lower manifold and your stock air filter to an aftermarket unit...

other than that i would not advise anything else...

im going to be doing a MAF conversion as i have just put on a new set of heads, cam, up/low manifolds etc...

They have the conversion wire harness on ebay for $57 to your door, a used a9l or a9p goes for $80-$100, pick the mass air of your choice and a cold air kit and you're done. I've used this harness several times. Its not hard at all to install! Done! Modify away!!

That's way too overpriced and the computer is an 88 cali MAF computer for an AOD.

OP, horsepowerjunkie has the right idea about the conversion. A9L will be the computer you want.
