16x7 is the stock size of Mustang wheels. People have stuffed 9" wide up front and 10.5" in the rear. So it's really up to you, what style you like and what you want on the car. There are SO many different options for the fox body, even for the 4 lug.

Just search for tires that fit your rim size. Most tire/wheel websites...like TireRack, or Discount Tire Direct. They have the drop menus that let you shop for tires by rim size.

If i was in the states i would get a set of these cos i love em!!
1979-93 Mustang Silver Sc Style Wheel & Nitto Tire Kit - 17X8/9 at LRS - Same Day Shipping! you can also use the calculator below. Tyre Calculator - Alloy Wheels - Specialist supplier of alloy wheels and tyres packages, Fast Delivery, Buy Online. you can put in your stock wheel size and then experiment with the new sizes you may want to go to (front/rear) and match it up to the same size you originally ran stock. With an 89' the max width you could go is a 10" wide rear (rolling fenders+removing quad shocks) and 8.5" front anywider than that on an 87-89 and you will have major rubbing issues. For no mods 8" wide up front and 9" wide rear no fender rolling or messing around... that can apply to 17's and 18's. 17s you will have a greater choice of tyre than 18's and you can also achieve that staggered hotrod look if you want to with 17's |
