stock pullies vs. underdrives

I was wondering if i can use the lighter weight underdrive pullies with a supercharger system or do i have to go back to the stock pullies for it to work right?

I don't see why it wouldn't work properly. The underdrive crank pulley may affect your boost level tho.

Cool

The underdrive crank pulley will lower your boost but you could use the other underdrive pulleys.

I have heard of blowers causing lower quality aluminum underdrive pullies to distort due to more load.

All of the underdrive pulley kits I have seen include a crank pulley, alternator pulley, and water pump pulley so you would be able to use them all.

My friend supercharged his 95 with a vortec.. gave me his crank and waterpump underdrive pulleys because he couldnt use them with the supercharger.. cant use the crank cuz it fucks up the boost.. and couldnt use the waterpump because of temp issues with the vortec

You usually feel a better throttle response.

Get rid of the powersteering its pointless lol just my opinion tho

you might be able to get a pulley for the P/S but you can get deffo get different sizes for your alternator...

i'm using a 200amp alt with an underdrive pulley, works wonders.

Too small a pulley and you will wear out the bearings and brushes in the ALT quickly. Too large and you wont get a decent sustainable charge if you dont drive too often so id stick with the stock pulley if you have it...

you will want to use standard pulleys or for high power strip applications overdrive.
