Car dies at idle...sometimes

only had the car a week, and about once a day, sometimes 2 or 3, the car dies at idle...after jumping from a couple hundred rpms, up o 1000 for a couple seconds. ive changed upper intake gasket, and ordered a new IAC gasket, the only vacuum lines that i can see are the 2 comin off the upper intake, and somethings blocked off on top of the throttle body...any other suggestions.

Sounds like idle surge. Is this for the Fox? Engine mods? Does it have a chip? Id start by cleaning the IAC and PCV valve filter using carb cleaner. Also check the TPS voltage, and fuel pressure. If its MAF, the sensor could be dirty. If the timing is off just enough it can mess with the idle. When was its last tuneup? Plugs, cap, rotor, wires, air and fuel filter? Wouldnt hurt to check all the vac lines and hoses as they wear out with age.

And the top of the throttle body (for a Fox) has a hose leading to the side of the oil filller on the passenger side valve cover.
