Parts car question
While searching craigslist I stumbled upon a cosmetically rough 87 Gt with a solid drive train that i thought would make a great parts car. My car has started ticking and i feel it is on borrowed time, besides its a pos with e6's for some reason. I thought i could swap over the engine and tranny and do a mass air conversion to my car for a pretty reasonable price, as that crate alone retails for like 3,800 dollars. Do you guys think it is worth the money?
Here is the ad: I have a 1987 Mustang GT with a 5 liter, 5-speed, and 94527 miles on the odometer. I am selling the car because I am moving and cannot take the car with me. Asking $2000.00/make offer. 495-3712 The Bad: As you can see in the pictures it is going to need a coat of primer/paint and to be put back together. . .I have all the parts and hardware that came off of it. My intentions were to sand it down, slap some flat black on it, throw it back together and get it back on the road but I am not to have the time to do so before I move. The Good: New crate engine, clutch, and throw-out bearing was installed at 88473 miles New transmission was installed at 92314 miles Parts: Ford Crate Motor (M-6007-EX3) -GT40X Aluminum Heads -E-Cam Ford Transmission (M-7003-Z) Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch and pressure plate Mass Air Conversion w/ 75mm MAF sensor 24 lb injectors MSD Pro Billet distributor MSD Coil 2.5" BBK H pipe (still have catalytic converters) 40 series Flowmaster mufflers A/C eliminator kit (still have compressor, condenser, etc.)

There is atleast $5000 there. Id go for it before its gone. As long as there is nothing wrong with the crate. The MAF conversion and exhaust is a nice bonus.

Right click on the pic, and if you are using Firefox, click copy image location and then go to post it and in the quick reply click on the little tab 2nd from the right and right click and past there. If using Explorer, go to properties and copy the URL in its entirety and then paste it in the insert image box. ooorrr give me the link to the add and I will do it for you

![]() So I would deff quadruple check and make sure the motor is what he says it is.. Looks like the body is in good shape.. I would try for 1200-1500 for it.. I say this cause I know of Foxes going complete for 3K and aren't tooo bad off. But id the trans and motor is good to go and is what he says.. a parts car is nice to have..

That's exactly what i was thinking, no higher than 1500 for it, which is a really could deal for a crate with 6k miles on it, and a 5 speed with 2k.
