351w Transmission


Does my t-5 going to pull my 351w block?

but i would just buy a world class t-5 then you will have no problems

If you have a 89 T5 you have a world class. T5's are crap for performance, unless you have a G-FORCE. And definately never put a 4 cyl T-5 on a v-8 unless it is just for cruising, and you get the smaller inside diameter pilot bearing.

ok i have an 89 with a t5 and when i pulled it to change my clutch it says borg warner on it and is that just factory?

what is a good tranny to go with then, I have a 93 5.0lx with a 5 speed? I am going to drop a 351W with some twistred wedge heads and a stage II TF cam.

I am going to do a 351 into my 94 GT, mine is a 5 speed. Is it a reg T-5?

Have you bought internals for it yet? If you haven't I would highly suggest buying a stroker kit for your car. You will be able to make close to 500HP with a naturally aspirated stroked 351

The 89 t5 is rated at 265 ft lbs. The 90-93 is rated at 300 ft lb. This sight has upgraded Tremec t5's and heavier duty Tremecs. You can get a feel for there ratings. You can google g-force transmissions and check them out. they have kits to rebuild your tranny for more power.

Oh and Borg warner designed the t5 and Tremec bought it from them, so t5's are now Tremecs.
