Help building my drag motor

I am about to start building a new drag motor for my car, and would like any suggestions or thoughts about the motor, and maybe even some hp predictions.

-1970's 9.5 block
-steel 4340 eagle crank
-h-beam eagle rods 6.250"
-srp forged dome pistons
-custom grind . 620 lift mech roller cam comp cam
-Canfield 192 stage 3 heads flowing 335
-victor jr intake
-main girdle
- 950 Holley alcohol carb
-arp everywhere

Thanks for looking

That was my first thought. If the heads are really flowing 335, you can go 7000+ with a solid roller. That intake is going to quit around 6500 on a 408, so you're limiting yourself.

On the block, if you're looking for the strong ones, make sure it's '74 or prior.

My Motor is as follows and made 600 on engine dyno.. This was before the Super vic was put on so IDK how much more that intake yields the motor..

410 CU IN. SMALLBLOCK, 10.0 to 1 compression, runs on pump gas
Ford Racing block
J&E custom made nitrous pistons
Eagle forged crank and H-beam rods
AFR 205 heads
Comp cams solid roller, 260 intake duration 264 exhaust duration 672 lift on both sides
Solid roller lifters
Probe shaft rockers
Had Vic JR but now has super Victor intake
750 Race Demon carb
NOS Pro Race Fogger
TCI Rattler Balancer, SFI approved
SFI Flywheel
Power master starter
Moroso Electric water pump
Moroso Vacuum pump and lines
MSD Dizzy and wires.
Kooks HTS coated headers, never been run, 1 7/8 primary 3.5 in collector.

I know for a fact If I got AFR 225's I would see 650 at the crank in conjunction with the Super vic and the bigger 1 7/8 inch headers.. oh and a bigger carb

So I should definitely hit my mark with the 13:1 compression and alcohol . I may go with the afr 225 heads , but before a port job idk if they will flow as good as the Canfield heads. I also may use a toliet injection system instead of the carb

Canfields, AFR, TFS's are the 3 heads I would use.. can't go wrong with any of them.. Would be nice to see a Canfield equipped car on here I am actually thinking I might swap my 205's to the 225's soon... once I get that car looking good again and all that and run her and get used to the car. But yeah, 13:1 and alcohol... you'll be there no problem.. Alcohol runs much cooler too doesn't it??

SWEET!! How do you like em' and what size??? I know on my motor the 205's are small and the 750 is as well. But its a good starting point I am wondering if it will be worth it getting 225's. He said the exhaust side has a little work done to it to help with flow. I cannot wait to get back to the states and drive this car and race it!

I've got the 195s . The motor may make more power with some 225s but I got the heads for a grand assembled and home ported. My
car is far from sorted out but it's been 10.60s at 126 on motor alone ( pump gas ). It doesn't seem to pull all that great in high gear in the upper rpms but maybe I'm just used to the way it pulls on the spray. I have no idea what kind of power it makes but using some calculators it makes 450 to the wheels .

3040 pounds and traps 126 so maybe someone can tell me what kind of power it makes

Either way I'm not complaining. BTW What are your goals with your car ?

The car does low 10's on motor, and with spray depending on how much I spray I can get her into the low 9's It goes up to a 500 shot.. but I will keep it at around 200-250. This is what the previous owner has ran, in about 3 months I will have my own numbers.. he said on foot brake and na he cut a 1.49 60'.. show be a scootin car.. The suspension thats on the car helps tremendously lol.
