Start checking for leaks man, if you lost that much oil by burning it I am sure you would have noticed... so this means leak... could be the oil pan gasket, the oil plug and the little rubber gasket there.. start looking!!

Depends on what needs to be replaced.. it is just the plug then easy day, oil pan a little harder.. but you could run a nice bead of black silicon around it and then tighten it back up... but really you are going to have to do some investigating..

mine has a leak from the crankshaft seal under the balancer n all that. It doesn't show on the ground, just leaks to the sway bar or whatever bar is under there and flies off while driving. I bought the seal and read up on it. I'm hoping mine goes in from the front so I don't have to take the timing cover off. I have other things to deal with first though.

Jack it up and wipe everything down. Make sure the plug drains are tight. Give it a day or two and then jack it up again and look for any signs of leaks. Keep in mind the fan will blow some of it around. And when you park it, lay a big piece of cardboard under the car.

Check the drain plugs, make sure the oil filter is tight, low oil level sensor if you have one, pan gasket, front crank seal, rear main seal, back of the heads, and lower intake, as well as around the valve covers. Check the dipstick to. With the engine running, look for blue smoke from the tailpipes. And check the coolant.

its not the crank seal, remove the harmonic balancer and in the groove along the centre (where it lines up on the crank) put a thick bead of silicone inside that... re-install the balancer wipe off excess and no more leak

If it leaked that much all you'll have to do is get and your hands and knees and look. That's a lot of oil to be under your car. It'll be the nastiest mess you've seen.

i was under the car not even a month ago when i changed my x pipe out to the offroad one and there was no oil under there whatsoever. Is it just possible that some of these cars just burn oil quick? i keep a quart of oil in my car all the time because i noticed i had to add some a few times when i first got it.

My 91 has burned a quart about every 1000 miles since it was brand new and its now 160K and 20 years old still doing the same thing. That's no where close enough to give visible smoke or smell from the exhaust. 2000 miles without putting oil in would be off the dip stick and normal for me. Check the oil and tire pressure when you put gas in like the manual says
