What Kind of Cam should i put. HELP!!!!!
im not good and engine but i learning right now im restoring my mustang and i have a 302 engine. i bougth the aluminum gt40 heads but my question is what kind of cam should i buy. i kow you have to look for what kind of lift you want and what your heads can handle and that were im lost. im putting the best in my engine. its just going to be my weekend car and i want a cam that can deliver the power but also not to empty my pocket at the gas station. just a good solid power camshaft

TFS part number 51402001
224/232 duration at .050 and the lift is .542/.563 Awesome street cam and will work great with your GT40 aluminum heads. Just make sure you buy the matching valve springs for the heads.

Dont know details on the cam he referenced to but if it is designed to run in an EFI 5.0 roller motor than it will not work in your motor.

If you have a non roller block and want to stick with the basics and a reasonable price a Comp Cams 280 or Isky 280 hydraulic cams are good street cams. Noticeably lopey idle but very responsive and fun on the street.

The Isky 280 Megacam is 232 duration at .050 on the intake and exhaust and the lift is .517 on both intake and exhaust.

my buddy has a 94 mustang 5.0L. he wants to put a e303 cam in his stock 5.0L. i want to know what he needs to do to give the most performace out of it with that cam. i know you need to put new mass air flow, aftermarket intake, headers, and performace heads on it. now, can we use the old heads yet put new lifters, springs, rockers, ect? or should we put new heads on that is already prepped for this mod? and while we are almost all the way through the motor, how well would a stroker kit do with the mustang. i could get 400+ hp with it, but would it be worth the trouble of pulling the motor and doing all that work? just a few questions. get back with me. thanks guys.
