Smoke From Shifter Boot

At idle, when I rev the engine high like to test or something at 2300k or up to 2500, smoke comes from the shifter boost. The smoke pushes like someone smoking a cig. It's been rare lately but it still happens. What could it be? And will someone please tell me the correct signal wire from the O2 sensor so I can hook up my A/F ratio gauge.

Thanks

I may have an exhaust leak that might be it because it doesen't smell like nothing, just a little smoke through the boot and no smell. The headers are rusted like heck.

Answering your last message... I was about to say "DG/P!?!?!?!?!", then I was like OH OK dark green/purple but you "Think" it is, are you sure? I mean signal wire on a positive connection would blow up my gauge. LOL it's ok imma try

I had smoke pour from my console way down by the boot one day.. and was clueless as to what was burning..

Turns out,... a month later my AC died.. I pulled the AC control panel and the plug on the back of the on/off switch had melted.

It could be anything in the console all the way up to the AC, or back to the cigarette lighter.

You got Shifter Lights in an Auto, AC Panel, AC Illumination, Stereo Cables, and Cigarette lighter wires inside the console.
