How does classic insurance work??


i was wondering how classic insurance or historicall or collectors insurance works how old does the car have to be and are there ways around gettin it if your car isnt that old ??? any help wud be greatt

What state do you live in? You would have to check your state laws. I know in Illinois it has to be 20 years old and if you claim it as a classic you are only supposed to drive it to car shows....

I was going to register mine as classic so I could get away from emissions (she's not really legal ) but it turns out in Illinois now cars older than 10 years don't need to be inspected

yea im in ny i heard that it shud be over 20 yrs old but i heard that someone has a 90 and hes got it is there someway around it?? comon theres gotta be a conartist out there somewere

research the laws man that's the best way to get around them...

or find a new york forum for racers and they will know best

I have my 2 Mustangs insured with a collector car insurance. They are insured for a stated value and the mileage is limited. Very good deal if they are not your daily driver.

but dosent Hagerty have unlimited miles or so i've heard
