Power steering

My power steering pump has been eating fluid pretty fast. I think there is a leak somewhere. I am thinking about replacing it and I noticed that on some 5.0's the inlet tube or dipstick tube is sticking straight up but mine is angled. is there any differance in the 2 or what?

Looking at the photos you supplied, it appears that the straight up version is for a non-a/c equipped car.

So the non A/C cars had a dummy puller in-place to use the same belt size?

no, you just get the bracket and hdwr to relocate your power steering pump and a shorter belt. Kit runs around 40 bucks w/out belt. Or you could get a bracket to relocate your idler pully where your a/c is and a shorter belt. Kits about the same price maybe little more.
