i hate u idle

ok so my idle rpm use to be around 800 now it jumps to 1500 and stays there..i clean the idle air control thingy and same shit.. i switched three others out and same thing.. what could be wrong???and everytime i switched them i took battery off.. then after put it back after switching them out... and waited couple seconds... and nothing.. i need help

Did you check for vacuum leaks ?....Also try doing the base idle reset, Also check your TPS volt

If this just started and you havent messed with the throttle body recently, check for a vac leak first. Check both hard and soft lines with the engine off and running. Feel around the lower/upper intake gasket and check the pcv valve and filter under it. I wouldnt mess with the base idle until everything else checks out.

Its possible the upper intake is dirty. They can get pretty nasty which can affect idle.

man i went to junkyard and bought another of the idle air control thingies.. haha what they called???? and it works beautifully now... thnx guys luv yall
