85'-86' gt mouldings on a 93'?

Alright guys so picked a 93' gt about a month ago and it was missing a few exterior pieces like the wing, two center caps and a few moulding pieces, the ground effects were taken off and sold a few years back to make it look like a lx, but I got for $700 from my friends dad. What I was wondering was will 85'-86' gt mouldings fit on my 93' I like how it has "gt" on the moulding on the quarter panel. Its debaged so the "gt" would just give.it alittle something different.

They will fit as long as they are not bent or warped too bad if they are used. It takes a little know how to restraighten them. Cant say what adhesive works best but that 3M stuff at the parts store doesnt always hold like its supposed to. Keep in mind the moldings look a bit different than the LX models and is easy to spot. It would bug me to no end, but if you dont mind it, go for it.

they will fit, but you shouldnt do it cuz it will not match the modlding that is built into the front a rear bumber.

If you go out and look at your front a rear bumper you will see a decrative groove (slot) that is a little over a inch tall the travels the length of the bumpers. On the 86 and earlyer years it does not have thatdecrative groove, the molding is smooth (no grove/slot). The 87-93 mustangs have that groove that travels all around the whole cars molding (doors, quarter panels and bumpers) so as i already exsplained it will not match

Thanks for the info. Cool idea I think but since they wont match up, case closed. If it wont match, that would bug the hell out of me. Thanks for the help.
