Rear Suspension help
I'm setting the rear suspension for drag racing and I'm not sure on what spring I should go with. I have the other parts in already, just can't decide on a spring to match them. I did some searches online and found mixed reviews of what works with what setup and everything just seems so vague.
I've been considering 3 options; 1) keep the OEM springs, 2) Moroso trick drag springs, or 3) Steeda progressive rear drag springs. From what I've read, the Moroso springs make the car actually sit slightly higher and don't do much better performance wise vs the stock suspension. I've also read that the Steeda springs are too stiff and without an anti-roll bar, won't do much good. Due to the cons of both of them, I've been considering just sticking with the OEM springs, but I do want a little better performance. The current setup is all stock 4 cylinder suspension. What will be going in next weekend will be UPR adjustable upper and lower control arms and Strange 10 way adjustable shocks. The car is a stock long block 5.0L 302 carb'd with full bolt-ons. The stock E7 heads are slightly ported. I have an AOD with TCI "Saturday Night Special" torque converter, external fluid cooler, and Silverfox SPT-1 valve body. The rear end is an 8.8" rear with 4.10s, t-lok, c-clip eliminators, Moser 28 spline axles, and extended studs. With that setup, I plan to launch on the car pretty hard so I'm looking for what spring is going to work best for those hard launches with the other suspension parts mentioned above. Thanks in advance.

Springs are not as important as geometery. If you look at baseline suspensions relocated upper control arms that really improved my car. My car 60' the exact same every pass on the same tune up. He has some really really good information on his website aswell on how to set the cars up.

Gotcha. Yeah, I just got off the phone with UPR and they advised to just keep the OEM springs and worry more with the shocks and control arms. Just put a bag in the passenger side rear to combat the roll.

I know Team Z's recommendation is the stock spring with a coil cut off.
