Car dies after starting...once a day

the first time i start my car every day, itll fire up, then die seconds later, if you immediately start it back up, itll idle up and down for a couple seconds then idle "fine". and by fine i mean itll run. however...it idles a few hundred rpm's high, after it runs for a minute, itll idle around 8-900...also, when you drive the car, it will idle high when you come to a stop, then will settle down after 20 seconds or more and idle at 8-900 again

so...vacuum leak or what?

Could be a vac leak, faulty TPS, dirty MAF. Try cleaning your intake with some MAF cleaner then search for a vac leak. TPS sensors are a tad expensive so try the easy and cheap fixes first.
