input shaft prob
the shaft on my buddys t5 he just bought has a longer input shaft then the older one. Can he still use it in his 88 gt or does he need to do something?

Ok, you either have a 4cylinder tranny which should not be used behind a v-8, a 3.8 tranny, or a 94-95 v8 tranny. The sn95 transmissions have a much longer shaft and bellhousing to position the stick further back in the cockpit. You would have to change the input shaft, or modify your your gearshift position in the tunnel. The sn95 has a electronic triggered speedo instead of a cable with a gear. That is the case for the 6 cyl, not sure about the v8.
