Intakes for a turbo 5.0
Any suggestion for intake for a turbo 5.0? Right now i have ported E7s, ECam,bored 30 over, and 8lbs of boost. Im thinking about the holley system max or bbk ssi-r but im open to any other opinions . if you need any other info let me know. It will be more on the street than the track.

stay away from the BBK ssi bull sh*t, ive heard they suck and have fuel leaking problems where the injectors go into the intake. Trick flow makes some good intakes lke there boxed intake or there R intake.

I heard they leak from the crossover from the bbk rails, also im talking about the ssi-r which is a totally different design then ssi. Is the ssi-r having the same problems. The trickflow is 3000-8000 and its requires different rails.

edelbrock super victor EFI manifold operating range 4500rpm-9000rpm seems kind of high for me.

You're boosted. Those operating ranges won't apply to you. They really are only a guideline for that intake on a stock cube N/A engine. If anything do the systemax or a track heat. Those E7 heads are your choke point though and will limit the benefit of a new intake.

I would not worry to much with a intake right now like said the heads are gone to be the main hold back even with a good intake. The turbo is gone to push the air through it anyway. If you want more power turn up the boost a bit. But if you must have one some of the edelbrock knock off stuff works well. if you are looking to save a few bucks. I have been pretty fast with a old edelbrock rpm intake with just the lower port matched to my heads. Keep the torque up down low and you will have a much nicer street car when off boost then when the boost comes on you have all the fun of a race car. What size turbo are you looking to run?
