solenoid switch sticking

well I finally put everything back together and replaced the solenoid switch while I was at it. The original switch would work but sometimes took a few tries. I already went through three new solenoids with the same problem. If I take the starter off the switch and test for power I get 12V from both sides of the switch. Also taking the wires from the battery side of the switch off and testing them I get 12V on my meter. WEIRD!!!

please advise what to check........

I'm thinking about removing the starter and getting it tested

I bout a brand new one once and as soon as i turned the key it stuck completing the circuit and held the starter on, i had to unplug the battery. i got 3 new solenoids that were bad

all from autozone

wow I'm in the same situation, and they're also from autozone. I even upgraded it from the cheaper one when I took the first bad one back.

I'll be changing the starter today with a known good one I have and replacing the solenoid see if that gets me back on the road.

i went to napa to get one because my autozone one wouldnt click after sitting for 2 months
