Quick question for you smart guys

I have an 89 fox, and it has a 150 shot on it, but I just took off the stock air box and replaced it with a cold air intake that I did myself with some piping and a spectre filter. (it has the C&L inlet with 76mm maf) Anyway, when I started it up after I installed it, it idled really weird, but it stopped after a few minutes, but I can smell some fuel.

So my question is, if my car has been tuned for the 150 shot, would my cold air intake mess with my Air/Fuel ratio?

I'm not sure if it was tuned for the nitrous, all I know is that it was dyno'd by the guy before me. Would the new intake matter?

The higher air flow could be screwing with your C&L meter.

Those meters are not the greatest meters.

And one other thing. If the air filter is an oiled filter it may have coated the meter sensor with oil. Try cleaning the sensor with sensor safe spray cleaner

Have you driven the car much or let it run for a while after doing the switch? The computer needs time to learn the new tables and will compensate for the small change in a/f.
