Not being a ass, but the old school 5.0 is a OHV engine! That means it only has 1 cam, not cams as you stated. And as for the open exhaust? I would stick some flows on it and let it be. Just my 2 cents worth.

so I went ahead and ordered the mac pro dumps for now till i can afford a full exhaust. Question is will it bolt right up to my hpipe? My current mufflers plugs in like a socket and u tighten the flanges to bring them together it doesnt bolt end to end flat. I just dont know if this is how all mustangs exhaust is, or do i have to have a new flange welded on?

Yes it will work. That's called a ball and socket flange. All mustangs have this type of exhaust unless you change it to the flat type with gasket or get it welded. And nice choice on the pro dumps. They're gonna sound great. I had mac mufflers on my 88 and I welded turndowns on to make them pro dumps and I loved the sound. 1000000000 times better than gay flowmasters.
