WTF is this sensor ???
alright well i have having some battery troubles, the battery is dead but i want to make sure all of the wiring is correct before i replace the battery, i am puzzled because this sensor in the pic has two wires, they are both going to the negative side of the battery, i dont know what the sensor is for so if someone could tell me and if i need it.? Also it seems like i have a lot of grounds up near the front of the car, i know the big one is for the battery but idk where the small one is coming from, i am just confused by all these wires coming from everywhere
here are some pics ![]() ![]() ![]()

if i had to guess i would say it was for the stock volt gauge on the gauge cluster, but why are both wires going to the negative battery post ? shouldnt one be going to positive and one negative ??

oh alright, well there is two wires, where do they both go? right now they are both tied into the negative battery post as you can see in the pic. But wouldnt it make more sense for one of them to be grounded and the other one to be on the negative side? or does it matter?

ok well i got a little bit farther on this issue, i hooked the battery bag up with that sensor unplugged and the fan started constantly running, i plugged it back in and it stopped so i now know its there for a purpose but im still puzzled as to how to wire it up, there is two wires coming from this thing, do both go to the negative battery post? or does one go to the ground. but i think personally it doesnt matter because if i move it to the frame where the other ones are in the pic then its still going to be touching the battery ground wire coming from the front post, so it would still be the same thing as having them both hooked up to where they are now
