Car runs...gauge says 0 PSI

car has had idling issues (no vac leaks, TPS is set, etc), so i decided to check fuel pressure to see if its losin pressure. hook a gauge to schrader valve, turn key on, 0 psi...start car, 0 psi. however, the car has plenty of power and runs fine.

thought maybe the gauge was bad...worked fine on another car immediately afterwards. tried mine again, same thing

so, whats the deal?

is any fuel coming out of the valve when you push on the nipple? if not the schrader valve is probably bad

Im also going to say that the schrader valve is probably bad. it may be a little bent to the side not alowing the gauge to push schrader valve in. I see this all the time with A/C system.

could a hole in fuel line cause it to lose pressure but still have enough to run the car??? or is it more than likely gettin enough pressure and its just an issue with schrader valve?

fixed the problem...the core inside the schrader valve was broke, took one out of a tire and fixed it.

good to hear you fixed it. Your fuel pressure should be some where around 39 psi. But that is with the vacuum line pulled off the fuel pressure regulator. and the vacuum line caped
